Experience Santorini for iPhone and HD For iPad - Now on the App Store

[prMac.com] Athens, Greece - Experience Greece has introduced Experience Santorini EN 1.0.0 for iPhone and Experience Santorini HD 1.0.0 for iPad. After many years of traveling, writing and publishing guides and books about Greece in collaboration with big publishing houses, journalists Yiannis Drenoyiannis and Valy Vaimaki, along with their collaborators, launched the experience Greece project. The aim is to create a series of digital travel-cultural applications for all smartphones and tablets, based on the concept of travel experience. The first two applications are already available on the App Store.

Comprehensive, reliable and user-friendly the application is updated and detailed. It includes more than 50,000 words and 270 photographs. Information is relative to the history of the island, the architecture, the attractions (volcano, villages, museums, archaeological sites), the unknown Santorini (Skaros, the vineyard and wineries, the kanaves etc.), all the beaches, the local produce and gastronomy, activities (hiking, cruising the island, scuba diving). The Details button in the main menu includes additional information on each subject.

It offers more than 500 selected suggestions for hotels, restaurants, cafe-bars, clubs, beach bars, shops etc. The "near you" feature allows the user to track everything within a range of a few kilometers around him. This allows the user to choose among several attractions, beaches, museums, archaeological sites, restaurants, hotels, cafes, and bars, clubs that he wish to visit from his current location. The application is designed to operate offline, has embedded search option and a favorites feature. The special "info" key in the main menu includes details on all useful telephone numbers and websites. The abundant photographic material and the videos that were created exclusively for this application illustrate in the best possible way the breathtaking beauty of Santorini.

An original, stand alone, enhanced and fully interactive application that takes advantage of the iPad functions and the new philosophy of tablets. It combines the aesthetics of a modern and innovative digital "magazine" with the handiness of a detailed travel-cultural guide. It is the only application that reveals all the attractions but also the deepest secrets of Santorini Island, one of the world's top tourist destination. It has creative use of the horizontal and vertical iPad layout, so as to include more photographs and texts. More than 20 minutes of videos created exclusively for the application.
